Sign-up timeline and process

Graduate On Campus Housing Eligibility

Graduate Students enrolled in the following programs are eligible for on-campus housing through the completion of their master’s degree on a tiered first-come-first-serve basis in this order:

  1. Higher Education Leadership Graduate Assistants at Messiah
  2. Master of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics
  3. Master of Science in Athletic Training*
  4. Master of Occupational Therapy*
  5. Doctoral of Physical Therapy

*Accelerated students receive first priority before traditionally accepted students.

Timeline & Process

  1. Complete the Grad Student On-Campus Housing Sign-Up Request Form (link goes live on February 1st) on or before March 22nd, 2026 for priority housing.
  2. Anticipate receiving an email on April 1st, 2026 with placement decisions, if the form was completed by March 22nd, 2026.  For all forms received after March 22, 2026, housing decisions will be emailed on a rolling basis as there is open capacity.
  3. Once emailed about placement decisions, if assigned an on-campus apartment, to confirm the assignment you are given log into the Nest at that time and complete the “Graduate Housing Contract” on the left to digitally sign the contract.  Confirmations must be made within the deadline specified in the email or the vacancy will be offered to the next student. Note: For those offered a space on April 1st, the deadline to accept or decline your offer is April 8th, 2026. 
    • To accept an offer, complete the information in The Nest.
    • To decline an offer, email sgpsstudentservices@messiah.edu
    • If waitlisted, you will be emailed an offer opportunity as a space becomes available.

Wednesday, April 1

Grad Housing Assignments Communicated to those who submitted information in Housing Sign-Up Survey by March 22.

Wednesday, April 8

Deadline for offer decisions to be in The Nest (accepting) or emailed to sgpsstudentservices@messiah.edu (if declining).

April 9th and Ongoing

Grad housing assignments communicated to those who were waitlisted and now have a space or to those who submitted the sign-up request form after the March 22nd priority date.

Accelerated Students Desiring Undergrad Housing

Accelerated students are permitted to continue living in undergraduate housing during what would be “senior year” at Messiah. If desired to do this, follow the same housing signup process as the undergraduate students on the Nest starting mid-March. Steps include:

  1. Signing your housing contract
  2. Selecting either the On-Campus Apartment or On-Campus Residence Hall contracts.
  3. Complete the necessary forms and receive a PIN
  4. Register for housing with the undergraduate community utilizing the dates and times emailed by housing.

For all students, if you will have completed your “senior year” at Messiah and desire to live in grad student on-campus housing upon graduating, please follow the process listed above.

Undergraduate Students Enrolled as Messiah Graduate Students 

Undergrad students are permitted to move off campus once they are fully grad status, if they wish to do so.  Be sure to complete the housing cancellation form and to schedule a check-out time with your RA/RD if you intend to move off campus at the end of your final semester with undergrad status.
