Required attendance at Honors events

Non-Credit Bearing Requirements

Book-of-the-year program. First-year students in the Honors Program are required to read the assigned book-of-the-year and to attend a discussion seminar and a lecture on the book during both the Fall and Spring semesters.

Honors Program Events. Every semester, the Honors Program sponsors numerous events--including lectures, panels, concerts, plays, and films--that foster maturity of character, intellect, and Christian faith and that enrich the campus climate. Students in the Honors Program are required to attend two Honors events each semester they are enrolled as a full-time student on main campus.

(Note: This means that Honors students who complete four years on campus as full-time students will attend Honors events across eight semesters by the time they graduate. Students who graduate early, take classes at the Winding Hill campus, or who study abroad for a semester will end up attending fewer than eight semesters of Honors events.)
