It is the responsibility of each student to read the accompanying Messiah University Financial Aid Policies associated with each academic year's financial offer.
Policies and Resources: Read your Terms & Conditions
Pay particular attention to the sections on satisfactory academic progress, over-awards, determining financial need, cost of attendance, and institutional aid policies.
Looking for additional guidance regarding the questions you're responding to?
Question 1: Do you accept the Terms and Conditions? *Required
- Did you read the Financial Aid Policies related to the referenced award year? This question is asking if you agree to all Terms & Conditions outlined in those policies. Read those policies!!!
Question 2: Do you authorize Messiah University to retain excess federal Title IV financial aid for the payment of tuition, fees, housing and food (if meal plan with Messiah University) that are charged to your account for a subsequent semester in this academic year? *Required
- Regarding your financial aid, sometimes your financial aid covers more than your tuition, fees, housing and food for the semester. Federal Regulations require us to obtain your authorization regarding how to handle excess federal Title IV financial aid.
Question 3: Do you authorize Messiah University to apply excess federal Title IV financial aid to all cost-of-attendance and non-institutional expenses (parking permit, books, etc.) charged to your student account? *Required
- Institutions of higher education (such as Messiah University) must obtain your written consent prior to sharing data from your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) with third party entities for the purpose of determining your eligibility for various financial aid programs. Providing your affirmative consent (answering yes) will allow us to help you in the process of applying for these types of financial aid.
Question 4: Do you agree to allow Messiah University to disclose your directory and FAFSA information to individuals administering financial aid programs, including state agencies and persons awarding private scholarship and loan programs for which you have applied?
- Responding gives Financial Aid your decision as to whether or not we may share this information with outside agencies with whom you have applied for a scholarship or grant.
