Alumni Council2010-2011 Alumni Council
PurposeThe purpose of the Messiah College Alumni Council is to provide an opportunity for enthusiastic alumni to become more engaged with and serve the needs of the College, specifically the Office of Alumni Relations. Membership on the Council is a privilege and prospective members must complete an application and interview process to be considered for membership.
MembershipThe Alumni Council is composed of approximately 30 members representing a variety of geographic regions, class years, areas of expertise, and interests. Members serve a three-year term and may succeed only once unless appointed as an officer.
New Council StructureThe Alumni & Parent Relations Office, in conjunction with the Office of College Development, has established a new model for the Alumni Council, which will better serve the needs of the College as a whole and these two offices in particular. The new Alumni Council structure will be comprised of three primary groups (based on age) and five committees (based on purpose). Committees will be populated from alumni from all three of the primary groups. Alumni Council leadership will consist of a Council-wide Chair and Co-Chair.
