Employer: Boston Celtics
Graduated: May, 1995

I started off working at many sports clubs and coached Women's lacrosse at Gordon College (Division 3). After being the head coach for three years, I accepted a position as first assistant for the Women's lacrosse team at Harvard University (Division 1). In the midst of my transition to Harvard, I was chosen for the position of Wellness Director at Harvard Business School .

I developed and supervised the wellness program at Harvard Business School for four years, and coached at the undergraduate school for three years. At this point, I found my way into consulting for the athletic performance of many professional and Olympic athletes.

Eventually, I did some consulting work for various NHL teams and began to train professional hockey players in the summer. Meanwhile, I started my own personal training and in-home wellness company. My company does three things: in-home training and post-physical therapy, summer camps for high school and collegiate athletes, and design and maintain corporate wellness centers. I am currently the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Boston Celtics (see picture of Gary Payton and me), and manage my business called Optimal Fitness.

God has really blessed me with situation after situation. It's amazing that in taking one step to the next, God has planned the perfect ending as well as the next beginning. Being in the NBA has been a roller coaster ride, but I've found other Christians who support me in living my life the best I can. I've been apart of bible studies with various pro athletes in the Boston area, who have been strong witnesses.

I never planned on going to Messiah, but through the influence of a friend I was able to follow God's plan for my life. He created the academic program I needed, and has continually provided for me. I'm very thankful to the professors at Messiah because they continually showed God's love for me and encouraged me to reach my potential.
