Messiah College
Class of 2007 Post-Graduation Survey
The Career Center Post-Graduation Report includes survey results of the Messiah College Class of 2007, six to ten months after graduation. Both narrative and statistical information are included to reflect the status of our '07 graduates.
- A self-mailer survey was sent to all 2007 bachelor's degree graduates in late November 2007.
- The survey was also available to complete on-line from the Career Center home page & Alumni Center home page.
- A second survey was sent in late February 2008 to those who did not respond to the first mailing.
- In addition to gathering information from Facebook and LinkedIn, a phone survey was conducted March through April to grads who remained "unreported."
- One request was distributed during April to the Messiah College Community of Educators to obtain their input on remaining grads.
- Information was then processed for the report.
- For graduates with two majors, the report classifies them in a primary major and does not include a secondary listing.
- A baccalaureate degree is the minimal education requirement for employment or post-graduate internships.
- A baccalaureate degree is not required for employment. May include alumni who are in transition, e.g. working interim jobs to finance graduate school or missions work.
- Alums currently pursuing postgraduate training, typically a master's or doctorate degree in a specialized area of study.
- Graduates involved in serving at least half-time in a volunteer capacity or through a domestic or international missions organization.
- Graduates who (at the time of the survey) were in transition or seeking employment.
- Alumni that were not reached through the methodology described above or for whom the College did not have current contact information.
