Sustainable Agriculture Concentration

The sustainability studies major is for students determined to make a practical difference in the world. This interdisciplinary humanities/science degree offers three concentrations, including sustainable agriculture. Messiah College’s campus has a strong sustainability program and many students in this concentration become involved with the sustainability committee, campus garden and institutional composting, vermiculture, aquaponics and forestry learning opportunities. After completing this concentration, you’ll be well prepared to work in the field of agricultural development and have the knowledge, skills and experience needed to enhance the environmental sustainability of God’s creation.
