AVG Antivirus

ITS has selected AVG Antivirus as the college standard antivirus package. Our license allows for the software to be installed on all college-owned computers, as well as personal computers owned by college employees and current students of the college. To use AVG, follow the instructions in the following sections based on the type of computer you are using:

Messiah-owned computers

Normally, college-owned computers will already have AVG installed on them. To install AVG, go to L:\NAL\avg. Double-click the "Install AVG - Messiah" shortcut.

Student Computers

Students can have AVG installed for them free by Student Computer Services if needed, please call x5901 for more information.

Self-Install option: The AVG install file is available in MCSquare please click here for more details.

Home Computers

Employees can borrow a CD with the AVG Antivirus install files on it from Media Services. Alternatively, employees can copy the files from L:\NAL\avg onto a blank CD or a jump drive. To install just double click on the "Install AVG - Messiah" shortcut
