Novell Network Tools and Information Understanding the Novell Application Launcher (NAL) Messiah College uses Novell's Application Launcher to make network applications available to PCs on campus. The Application Launcher allows users to keep up to date when the latest software patch, upgrade or release is available. This page will attempt to inform the NAL user of some features they can control. Using Your Network Drives Since 1998, ITS has urged users to store their data files (word processing documents, spreadsheet files, multimedia presentations, Internet bookmarks, etc.) on their appropriate network drive. In addition to the benefits of having files in these directories backed up on a regular basis by the ITS networking staff, storing your files on the network allows you to access them (when logged into the network under your username and password) from any networked PC on campus and even via FTP from off campus! This interactive, Flash-based tutorial will explain the basics of using your network drives.
