Outlook: Change Default Search to All Folders


When searching for an item in Outlook by default it searches the current folder that you have selected. To automatically have it search all folders by default follow the steps below:

  1. Open Outlook.

  2. Click the File tab.

  3. Click Options.

  4. In the Outlook Options window, click Search

  5. Select the All Folders option from the "Include results only from:" section
