Messiah Software and Downloads

Messiah requires students to have specific software on their computers before using the campus network or accessing the Internet.

Required Software for Messiah's Network
		AVG 2012 Required Anti-virus software given to Messiah Students free of charge.
		Messiah Filespace Access Simple app that connects you to your K: drive (on campus only).
		SafeConnect Checks for required software before allowing internet access.

Recommended Software
		Mozilla Firefox Fast and secure web browser. Works best with online classes and tests.
		Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Free program that can remove unwanted programs, viruses, and malware.
		CCleaner CCleaner is the number-one tool for cleaning your Windows PC.
		Handbrake Free video conversion software, used to upload videos to Sakai.
		Picasa by Google Free photo organizing and editing software, with easy sharing features.
		OpenOffice Free office suite to create Documents, Spreadsheets, and Presentations.

AVG 2012

1. Download AVG 2012
2. Once the file has finished downloading, double-click the file.
3. The file will open and begin loading.
4. When it askes choose to Accept the Terms and Conditions
5. Choose Basic Protection then click Next.
6. Choose Quick Install and click Next.
7. Uncheck both options for search and toolbars then click Next.
8. Then it will begin installing allow it to finish.
9. When it asks to reboot your computer, click yes to reboot now otherwise it won't install.

Messiah Filespace App

1. Download the Messiah Filespace App
2. Once the file has downloaded, open the file
3. Inside the ZIP file you should see two icons, double click "resnet".
4. It will begin the installation, click "Next" until the installation completes.
5. Now in the ZIP file double click "vistalm" and choose "Yes" and click OK.
6. Now you will have 3 icons on your desktop for Messiah Mail, Filespace, and to change your password.

SafeConnect

1. Download SafeConnect
2. Open the file by double-clicking.
3. Follow the instructions on screen.
4. Now SafeConnect is installed on your computer.
