Job Title: mother/student

Position Description: N/A

Salary Range : $14,000 - $21,000

Previously Held Positions: Milton Hershey School Houseparent, Preschool teacher, Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Therapist, Alternative Education Counselor

Courses Found Most Helpful: Adult Development, Child Development, Counseling Theories, all the courses on relationships...I enjoyed them all.

How HDFS Helped to Prepare Her: “It prepared me more for life and relationships than it did for a specific job. That may not be helpful to your specific purpose here, but I consider it invaluable to my overall life experience. It helped me gain a job in the social science field, but what students need to know is that it is VERY difficult to earn an independent living in this field unless they go on for a Master's degree. The HDFS program at Messiah prepared me VERY WELL for a Master's program. Anyone succeeding in the HDF program at Messiah will not have any trouble in a master's program anywhere else.”
