The Master of Education (M.Ed.) program at Messiah University offers specialized tracks in areas such as TESOL, special education, online teaching, and curriculum and instruction that provide graduate students with an educational experience that goes beyond traditional expectations of advanced learning.
Graduate students in the M.Ed. program will experience the convenience and flexibility of a program designed to fit the schedules of working students. Of the degree tracks offered, those that lead to certification require on-campus instruction during two one-week summer intensive courses. This intensive classroom experience fosters a sense of community among educators through building relationships inside and outside of the classroom.
Messiah University is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Higher Education. It is the highest accrediting authority recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for degree-granting colleges and universities located in Pennsylvania, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and several other locations internationally. Messiah’s teaching certification programs are accredited by the PA Department of Education.
