Position Description : Coordinate all children’s programs supporting the Women’s Ministry programs at church. Hire staff members, write curriculum, train, and attend training. Purchase for program, maintain budget, and correspond with families and church.

 

Salary Range : $10-$16 per hour

 

Previously Held Positions : Food service worker at a hospital, house manager, secretary to the principal, admissions director, self-employed – owner of Time Savers Home Management Service.

 

Courses Found Most Helpful : Learning about child development; hands on classes (projects, practicums, etc)

 

How the HDFS Program Has Helped Prepare Her for Work : “My classes were so well-rounded for all the positions I have held. Although I did not get a teaching certificate, I did take education classes and did student teaching which have all been beneficial in my jobs to date."

 

How Faith Interfaces with Work : “Every Right now I’m working in a church so I apply it to everything I do. With the other jobs it was my foundation for all I did. My employers knew of my faith and I would apply it whenever I was able.”
