How HDFS Helped to Prepare Her: “My Dynamics of Family Interaction course gave me a great understanding of how each of my client's is affected by his or her family system. Especially when working with foster kids, it is essential to understand that because of the disruption of the family system, and the strained relationships that have or continue to occur, the child is affected. Having that as a basis when coming into the field and working in the foster care system has allowed me as a Case Worker to have a good understanding of each child and has allowed me to have a great starting point with the child. It also assists me in discussing the concept with the children of how one's family truly does affect an individual.”
