Position Description: Lauren teaches first grade. She plans, develops, and implements curriculum. Additionally, she works with beginning teachers. She supports and counsels new teachers in order to help them have a successful first year.

 

Salary Range : $35,000 to $80,000 (depending on your education and years of experience.)

 

Previously Held Positions: Lead Social Studies Teacher, Grade Level Team Leader

How HDFS Helped to Prepare Her: “Although I teach first graders, I am constantly in communication with their families. There are many "hats" a teacher has to wear. I counsel parents (related to child development and education), organize parent volunteers, assist in solving relationship problems between parents or child and parents. I help identify learning and social disabilities. Then, I help in implementing a program that supports the best possible learning environment.”
