Celebrating 100 years of God’s
faithfulness to Messiah College

Considering Messiah College’s beautiful 471-acre Grantham campus and dozens of buildings, it’s hard now to believe that Messiah got its start in the Harrisburg home of a local civic and church leader who was in the business of making noodles. Thanks to the vision of founder S. R. Smith and many other courageous leaders, Messiah College continues to thrive today as an institution strengthened by a century of “shared faith, bold vision, and enduring promise.”

Much of the historical information provided on this site is taken from Messiah College: A History, an account of Messiah College’s early years, written by Professor Emeritus E. Morris Sider.
