African Children's Choir
"Just As I Am"
Oct. 11
7:30 p.m., Parmer Hall
Sponsored by the Performing Arts Series
The African Children’s Choir has performed in thousands of venues around the world, including concerts at the Pentagon, Buckingham Palace and on Capitol Hill. Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman and Kirk Franklin have featured the choir on various recordings. Their performances feature well-loved contemporary tunes, traditional spirituals and African cultural pieces.
There will be a collection of a free-will offering during the concert to support the ongoing work of Music for Life. The mission of Music for Life, home of the African Children’s Choir, is to help Africa’s most vulnerable children today, so they can help Africa tomorrow. With a focus on education, Music for Life is currently caring for several thousand underprivileged children throughout Africa. These are children who could have lost all hope but have overcome their circumstances and now are making a positive impact on their communities.
Admission is free. Ticket required. To obtain a ticket, please contact the Messiah University Box Office at 717-691-6036 option #1 or online at messiah.edu/tickets.
