The Bridge Center for Continuing Education at Messiah University

The Bridge Center coordinates programming designed to meet the needs of adult learners and partners in central Pennsylvania and beyond, including:

  • customized workforce development
  • continuing education
  • reskilling and upskilling programming

When applicable, offerings will be linked to continuing education units and professional licensure standards. The delivery methods vary and may include face to face, online, webinars, hybrid, one-time, or weekend formats. Just as the iconic covered bridge at Messiah University connects the two areas of campus, The Bridge Center for Continuing Education is a connector between Messiah University and the rest of society, and between current and future needs and trends.

The Bridge Center for Continuing Education at Messiah University in partnership with Rising Sun Consultants LLC is launching the Certificate in Influential Leadership. This is a non-credit bearing certificate designed for those with leadership experience who desire to have significant influence and impact in people’s lives and on the organizations they serve.

When:        Six 2.5 hour sessions on Tuesdays 8:30-11:00 a.m., spring 2024

Where:       Messiah University, 1 University Avenue Mechanicsburg, PA 17055

Cost:          $2500 which includes all learning materials

The classes are specifically intended to be interactive and engaging and will include open discussions where participants can wrestle together on how to be a more influential and impactful leader.

The Certificate in Influential Leadership has been designed from a Biblical perspective for leaders who desire to have significant influence and impact in people’s lives. Participants will engage in a series of six, two and a half hour classes. These classes are designed to not only broaden and expand the influence leaders have, but also to strengthen the positive impact through their influence.

Leading Spirituality and Wellness in Long-Term Care

The Bridge Center at Messiah University & Southcentral Long-Term Care RISE

The Bridge Center at Messiah University is hosting 8 educational courses for entry and mid-level Long-term care leaders. Each course will focus on a unique aspect of spirituality and will encourage long-term care leaders in their personal journeys as well as provide tools to support their co-workers and team members. Courses can be completed as standalone events; or participants can earn a Certificate of Completion if they complete the “4 Core Courses” and 2 of the Elective Courses.

NAIOMT's COMT Certification Series

This series of five physical therapy continuing education courses is designed for licensed physical therapists and third-year DPT students. The courses are held at Messiah University’s PT educational facility and focus on orthopedic manual therapy. Courses can be taken individually or stacked to earn post-professional Certified Orthopedic Musculoskeletal Therapist (COMT) certification. The courses can be taken in any order to fit your schedule.

Advance Practice Certificate in Holistic Bereavement Care

The Bridge Center for Continuing Education at Messiah University and Ripple of Light Bereavement Resource Center, LLC are jointly offering 8, 3-credit NASW-PA approved CE courses for licensed social workers, and those holding a master's or doctoral degree in the profession.

Attendees can complete each course as a stand-alone offering, or participate in all 8 courses by the end of 2024 to earn an Advance Practice Certficiate in Holistic Bereavement Care from The Bridge Center for Continuing Education at Messiah University and Ripple of Light Bereavement Resource Center, LLC.
