Engineers' Weekend

Engineers’ Weekend provides opportunity for participants:

  • to meet other students interested in engineering;
  • to get to know a few of Messiah’s engineering students, faculty, and alumni;
  • to hear how faith can inform how Christians think about engineering; and
  • to have some fun designing a project in the engineering labs.

Activities include:

  • Stay overnight at Messiah College,
  • Be part of a team and compete in a design challenge,
  • See a sample of engineering student-run projects and talk to students about their experience at Messiah, and
  • Learn how students are applying appropriate engineering to design systems that address real world needs.

Reception: Parents and other family members are invited to attend a reception and visit our labs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday followed by Design Playoffs at 3:00 in Frey Hall 70.

Maximum Enrollment: 24 high school juniors & seniors

Accommodations: Attendees will stay overnight in a Messiah College dormitory room or apartment. Participants will need to bring overnight belongings and a sleeping bag.
