Student Research Symposium

The Research Symposium will be helf on Thursday, December 7, at our Winding Hill campus, where occupational therapy (OT) and physical therapy (PT) grad students meet for class.  Come and go as you please between 5 and 7 PM.

Second-year OT students have been working all year on this research, and they're excited to disseminate their results in poster presentations.

Their research covers the following topics:

  • Oral Hygiene Interventions for Children with Autism
  • Perceptions of OTs & OT Students with Disabilities
  • OT Programs' Strategies for Recruitment & Admissions of Diverse Students
  • Impact of Peer Support on Social Participation for Burn Survivors
  • Perceptions of Coaching in Early Intervention
  • OT Students' Perceptions of Level 1 Fieldwork
  • The Use of Sensory Rooms in Schools
  • Predictive Value of GG on Discharge Destination

Come see what OT students are learning, ask about their research projects, and get a taste of graduate-level research.

You'll also have an opportunity to take a tour of the building, learn about the Master of Occupational Therapy program, interact with current OT students, and enjoy some light refreshments.
