Katheryn Brock - Metaphors of Trauma
2D concentration, B.F.A. Studio Art
Metaphors of Trauma investigates the critical intersections and oscillations within
aesthetics, trauma theory, and human subjectivity. Focusing on encounters which
hold open spaces of ambiguity, this project excavates the structure of trauma
embedded in experience. The talk will present theoretical work in conjunction
with a small exhibit of its visual manifestations. (Primary advisor: Dr. Schoettle)

Danielle Kepner - Art and the Unspoken
2D concentration, BA Studio Art/BS Psychology
"Art and the Unspoken" is a contemplative exhibition of autoethnographic and artsbased
research assembled to visually demonstrate the instrumental themes of
Danielle Kepner’s study of art as therapy. This display will include work produced by
children at Penn State Children’s Hospital, collaborative pieces with artists of other
disciplines, as well as images of response generated by Danielle as a culmination of
her undergraduate research. (Primary advisor: Dr. Dubin)

Madison O’Donnell - Planning a Small Business
3D concentration, B.A. Studio Art
“Planning a Small Business” consists of a paper and body of work for sale.
Madison O’Donnell used her studies in Studio Art and Business Administration
to plan a small business in creating and selling pottery and other handmade
items. Instead of being presented in a gallery exhibition, the work was entered
into and sold at the Next Gen craft fair in Camp Hill, PA on November 11th.
