Who Can Live on Campus During the Summer?

  • Students who are Messiah University employees for the summer
  • Anyone completing an internship for Messiah University credit 
  • Exceptions as granted by the Housing Office

Summer Housing Application Timeline

  • Applications are due on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
  • Assignments will be emailed to students by May 1, 2024.
  • Students may move from their current assignment to their summer assignment the evening of Saturday, May 11, 2024 or 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

General Information

  • Summer housing will be located in Witmer Residence Hall. 
  • Summer room assignments confirmation will be emailed by May 1, 2024.
  • All students should be open to being placed with a roommate, though this may not be necessary
  • Assignments will be made according to availability
  • We reserve the right to assign a substitute or relocate students should a resident move or cancel their assignment
  • Everyone will move into their summer housing assignment during the graduation weekend.
  • Everyone will move into their fall housing assignments on  August 11 and must be on campus and available that day to move.
  • If you do not have a fall housing assignment on the Grantham campus because you are living off-campus for the fall semester you may move off-campus beginning August 9 and receive an extra $1/hour for the rest of summer (instead of getting room and board as part of your compensation) or you may find a friend to stay with on campus until Friday, August 23, 2024. Please notify the Residence Life Office about where you will be saying so that you may be granted card access. If you need help finding a place to stay the Residence Life Office.
