Chaired by the Student Body Vice President, Student Senate stands as the representative and legislative body of SGA. Student Senate initiates conversation and makes recommendations that are representative of the student body at large. Students may join Senate as Independent Senators with the vision to represent their peers and encourage Messiah’s development, or to represent the interests of a particular department (Residence Life, Sustainability, Athletics and so forth). The recommending responsibility of the Student Senate is separated into four committees: Finance and Organizations, Social Concerns, Education, and Operations. Senate meets on Monday nights at 6pm in Kim Phipps Admissions and Welcome Center 310 and is open to all current students. Come check it out!
