Rod Gilfry to perform Sept. 20
A two-time Grammy award nominee, Rod Gilfry most recently received a Grammy award nomination for his performance in the title role of Messiaen’s monumental opera “Saint François d’Assise” in Amsterdam. Best known for his work in opera, he also appears frequently in musical theater classics and is an acclaimed recitalist and concert artist. He has recently appeared at the Metropolitan Opera as Alberto Roc in the American premiere of Thomas Ades’s “The Exterminating Angel,” as well as Danilo in “The Merry Widow” opposite Susan Graham. He also has appeared in leading roles with the Santa Fe Opera, Korea National Opera, Los Angeles Opera and New York City Opera, among others.
