Dr. Brenda Elliot receives Sigma Capstone International Nursing Book Award

The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma) recently announced the nurses and healthcare professionals being honored for their contributions to professional excellence with the 2021 International Awards for Nursing Excellence, Board Awards and Honorary Membership. Messiah University’s Dr. Brenda Elliott and her co-authors, Katie Chargualaf and Barbara Patterson, were recently recipients of the Sigma Capstone International Nursing Book Award for their book, “Veteran-centered Care in Education and Practice: An Essential Guide for Nursing Faculty.” The awards will be presented during Sigma’s 46th Biennial Convention, happening Nov. 6-10 in Indianapolis, IN.
