Office of Budget and Accounting

The Messiah University Office of Budget and Accounting supports management and the entire campus community in financial planning to ensure the availability of resources to carry out the University mission:

 

Educate men and women toward maturity of intellect, character and Christian faith in preparation for lives of service, leadership and reconciliation in church and society.

 

Specifically, the Office of Budget and Accounting facilitates the following activities:

  • Establishes budget planning parameters and administers the allocated costs
  • Produces short and long-term financial plans to achieve programmatic goals
  • Coordinates and compiles the University's annual operating budget in accordance with established guidelines
  • Reviews School-specific information, producing and analyzing financial reports and comparing operating results to the projected budget for revenues and expenditures
  • Advises University leadership on efficient and effective resource allocation practices
  • Compiles and maintains data and reports required by administrators, officers, the Board of Trustees and external agencies
