Open Council I: Am I Invited?

The Multicultural Council leadership wants to invite you all for our first Open Council of this semester! The theme for this first panel discussion is "Am I Invited" where we will answer questions about participating in various cultural events, conversations, and meetings when you don't identify with the group you are supporting.

We have noticed throughout the years that many students feel hesitant to come to our events because they look different than the culture that they might come from. We want this event to be a place where you can ask questions and learn how to support students of color or another cultural group.

"Which events are appropriate for me to go? When is it okay for me to appreciate a culture? When should I share my opinion? Why do I feel so uncomfortable? Why should I care about minority cultures?" These are the questions we will try to answer.

All are welcome to this event! invite yours friends and come learn with us about how to support our brothers and sisters from around the world!
