Program

Feb. 19, 4 p.m.

While migration of people inevitably changes culture for generations, it also leads to migration of ideas and forms across genres in arts. Mendelssohn Piano Trio; Michael Stepniak, dean of Shenandoah Conservatory; and Devin Howell, principal bass of the Harrisburg Symphony, will be joined by Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet dancers in exploring mutual influences among Eastern European, German, French and American cultures through music by Franz Schubert and Josef Suk, as well as choreography by Alan Hineline. English department faculty members Christine Perrin, Matthew Roth and Samuel Smith will also perform original poetry as part of this cross-disciplinary program.

Ticket prices are $20 for adults; $5 for Messiah University students (with ID) and youth (18 and under). To purchase, please contact the Messiah University Box Office at 717-691-6036 option #1 or online at messiah.edu/tickets.
