About Us | Seven | Messiah College

SEVEN is a group of multi-talented musicians from Messiah University who have a heart for ministry, performance and creativity. They write, collaborate, perform concerts and lead worship with great enthusiasm and expression. They represent a wonderful cross-section of the Messiah University community, with members from a variety of academic majors.

SEVEN's mission is to spread the message of Jesus Christ through musical worship that incorporates each member's unique gifts and creativity.

Tyler Greene

Tyler graduated from Messiah University this May 2023 as a Music and Worship major. He grew up in Crystal Lake, Illinois just outside the city of Chicago. This summer Tyler will be playing keys. While not spending time at the piano, he likes to read, play board games, be with friends, and enjoy the outdoors. This is Tyler’s third summer in SEVEN.

Téa Parris

Téa Parris is a senior sustainability major, with an environmental science and sociology and anthropology double minor. Téa has been playing the drums since she was 13 years old. While not performing, Téa enjoys playing tennis, hiking, painting, bird watching, and long boarding. This is Téa's second year in SEVEN.

Julia Presley

Meet Julia Presley! Julia is a recent Messiah University Music and Worship graduate from Dayton, Ohio. This summer, she will be playing bass and singing for the group. When not making music, Julia likes to read, paint, and eat grilled cheese sandwiches. This is her third year in SEVEN.

Derek Shockley

Derek is a Senior Music Education major at Messiah. He grew up in Sicklerville, New Jersey. Derek has been playing the guitar since he was 12 years old. While not playing the guitar, Derek enjoys taking Polaroids, long boarding, reading comics, and watching sunsets. This is Derek’s first summer in SEVEN.

Christopher Vasquez

Christopher is a Sophomore Music and Worship major with a congregational leadership minor at Messiah. He grew up in Pemberton, New Jersey where he learned to play drums, guitar, and what he will be playing this summer, bass. When Christopher isn’t leading worship, he enjoys spending his free time working out, playing sports, video games, or reading the Word. This is Christopher’s first year in Summer SEVEN.

Alden Walker

Alden Walker is a Junior Commercial Music major with an emphasis in guitar. He hails from southern New Jersey in Haddon Township. He picked up the guitar when we was twelve but has been singing since he could talk. Alden loves listening to and learning all genres of music and is always looking to suggest and receive song recommendations. This is his first year in SEVEN.

Heather Woleslagle

Heather is a Sophomore Music and Worship major at Messiah. This summer, she will be playing guitar and singing for the group. When Heather isn’t leading worship, she enjoys horseback riding, writing songs, and spending time with family and friends. This is Heather’s first summer in SEVEN.
