About Your Card

ID Card 

The Falcon Card is your official means of identification while at Messiah University. Your card is used for identification purposes and for access to numerous facilities and services on campus. All ID cards are issued by the Falcon Exchange and are the property of Messiah University. You may not loan your ID card to someone else or use another person's ID card for any purpose.

Lost cards should be reported to the Falcon Exchange, 2nd Floor Eisenhower Campus Center (ECC) and a replacement or temporary card should be requested. If the Falcon Exchange is closed, a temporary card may be obtained at the Dispatch Office, 1st Floor ECC. Lost ID cards may be replaced at a cost of $15.00.

Temporary cards must be returned to the Falcon Exchange or Dispatch Office prior to their expiration or a charge of $15.00 will be assessed to the student's tuition account and a replacement ID card will then be issued. Lost Temporary cards are charged a replacement fee of $15.00. Damaged cards may be replaced at a cost of $15.00. All fees are non-refundable.

Student Identification Cards

  • Used as identification wherever needed on campus
  • Residential access
  • Library card
  • Facility access (Computer Labs, Fitness Center and Academic Buildings)
  • Used to obtain entrance into Lottie Nelson Dining Room
  • To register for special activities and receive student discounts, both on and off campus
  • Used as a debit card after depositing funds into your Falcon Dollars or Dining Dollars account

Alumni Identification Cards

  • Used as identification wherever needed on campus 
  • Library card
  • To gain entry into sporting events and university activities

Employee Identification Cards

  • Used as identification wherever needed on campus
  • Library card
  • Facility access (Computer Labs, Fitness Center and Academic Buildings)
  • Used to obtain entrance into Lottie Nelson Dining Room
  • To receive employee discounts (ticket sales, Campus Store, off campus vendors)
  • Used as a debit card after depositing funds into your Falcon Dollars account
  • To gain entry into sporting events and university activities

 Family Identification Cards

  • Used as identification wherever needed on campus
  • Family member must be a spouse, or dependent child between the ages of 16 - 18 of an employee
  • Provides access to various campus facilities such as the Fitness Center

*Please report all lost or stolen ID cards to the Falcon Exchange, (717) 766-2511 Ext. 7213. If after office hours, please report to Dispatch Office, (717) 766-2511 Ext. 6005, located in Eisenhower Campus Center.  Do not punch holes in or otherwise deface ID cards. Any deliberate defacement will be subject to a replacement fee. This card should be treated with the same care as you would your bank cards.

*Please note that Friend, Department and Conference Cards are not accepted for facility use.

Falcon Dollars

Deposits may be made at the Falcon Exchange, a Value Transfer Station (VTS), or online.  VTS's are located in ECC and the Student Union.

Money deposited into your Falcon Dollars Account may be used in the Lottie Nelson Dining Room, Falcon Express, Larsen Dining, Cafe Diem, Falcon Hut, Campus Store, Ticket Office, Vending Machines, and Copying Machines.

Falcon Dollars may be withdrawn by students upon withdrawal from the University.  Employees may withdraw Falcon Dollars upon separation from the University.

Disclaimer for Students & Employees:

This is your official University identification and it is not transferable. Misuse, loss or mutilation of this card may subject the holder to disciplinary action and/or a card replacement fee. The University is not responsible for any expense resulting from the loss or misuse of this card. This card is the property of Messiah University and must be surrendered upon termination of enrollment or employment. This card may be required for entry to University events or for use of University facilities. The bearer of this card assumes all risk of personal injury and property damage which may occur in the course of his/her use of Messiah University facilities or equipment.
