Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) Faculty Grant
In collaboration with the Teaching and Learning Initiative, The Ernest L Boyer Center offers an internal grant to support Messiah faculty in completing a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) project. The scholarship of teaching and learning encompasses a broad set of practices that engage faculty in critically examining and ultimately improving student learning and culminated in sharing insights with others who can evaluate and build on their efforts (Hutchings, Huber, & Ciccone, 2011). Each year, up to eight faculty receive funding to participate in an 18 month project in which they will develop, implement, and disseminate a SOTL project within a small community of Messiah University SOTL scholars.
