Do you have a passion for helping people reach their potential and achieve their goals? Athletic trainers have the opportunity to work alongside patient populations to promote health and wellness, reduce injury/illness occurrence and provide consistent, evidence-informed care throughout the injury, recovery, return-to-activity process.

Messiah University’s MSAT is a full-time, residential program designed to prepare you to sit for the Board of Certification (BOC) exam and to practice in settings such as youth, high school, collegiate and professional sports as well as the physician practice setting. There are growing opportunities in emerging practice settings, such as the performing arts, industrial and tactical settings.

The Messiah University's Athletic Training program is currently accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), 6850 Austin Center Blvd., Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731-3101. The program is currently applying to the CAATE for a change in level of degree and is pending approval.

Completion of the MSAT at Messiah University will allow students to meet eligibility requirements to sit for the Board of Certification (BOC) exam for athletic training. BOC certification allows certified athletic trainers to apply for state licensure/certification/registration which will allow them to legally practice as an athletic trainer in their state of residence.
