Strategies for Leading During Times of  Trauma, Loss and End of Life                 Mar 21

Long term care leaders encounter immense pressure, inadequate resources, and residents/families navigating sudden health changes or nearing the end-of-life daily. Often these overwhelming situations leave them searching for a sense of personal meaning, purpose, and connection at the workplace. The cognitive, socio-emotional, and psychologically taxing circumstances equally affect practitioners’ professional quality of life and heighten the risk of developing vicarious traumatization. Research indicates that fostering spiritual growth at the workplace mitigates such distress and improves employee wellbeing. This course explores the impact of trauma on leaders and offers practical strategies for cultivating workplace spirituality from the personal and organizational perspectives.
