Pre-OT (4 yr)

• Requirements vary by school. 
• A complete list of requirements for accredited and developing OT programs can be found here.
• Generally, course work includes general biology with lab, human anatomy and physiology with lab, psychology, sociology, English and statistics.

Application Timeline:

Occupational therapy school directly after Messiah University:

• Required courses completed by end of senior year (although preference may be given to applicants that complete the required courses sooner)
• Apply during the summer between junior and senior year.

Standardized Test:

• Graduate Record Exam(GRE), revised General Test
• Administered year-round at computer-based test centers. Three sections: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. Unofficial score available on test day. Official score in 10 – 15 days.

Application Service:

• Occupational Therapy Centralized Application Service (OTCAS)
• Apply to non-participating schools directly through the schools.
• Regardless of application protocol, APPLY EARLY (application opens early summer)!

• Messiah University Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT)
