Work continues on the Central Chiller Building Construction. Piping is currently being run to the cooling towers that will be set onto the roof next week. Pumps are set and piping continues on those. Both Chillers are in place and being piped. On Sunday 11/3/2013 the building will be closed so that the contractor can use a crane to lift the two cooling towers up onto the roof.

Messiah College entered into agreement with the EL Heim Company to replace the existing chilled water units that serve Kline, Frey and Jordan.  The new energy efficient chillers will be placed in the Pole Building behind Frey Hall.  Staff were invited by the equipment manufacture to travel to the assembly facility to see the new equipment in production that is currently being tested to address ozone depletion and greenhouse gas emission.
