Transportation Services at Messiah University
IMPORTANT: Due to COVID-19, there will be NO fall 2020 shuttle services. We understand this may be disappointing, but this decision was made with your health and saftey in mind. We will update this page for the spring of 2021 when a decision has been made about those shuttles. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this process.
Messiah University offers a variety of transportation services for off-campus travel needs.
Share the commute! If you're a Messiah student looking to share rides to and from campus on a regular basis, you can do so through the local ridesharing platform. This form can be used for your daily commute to and from Messiah, for a commute to a job, etc. You must be a current Messiah University student to access these free services. Feel free to check out the Messiah University Community Carpool Facebook page as well. This closed group was created to help Messiah University students connect with each other for carpooling to and from campus, both regularly and during holiday/break times.
Save money! Visit our ridesharing platform at www.messiah.edu/rideshare if you're interested in connecting with other Messiah students to travel home (and back!) with during the breaks. You must be a current Messiah University student to access these free services. You can also utilize the Messiah University Community Carpool Facebook page. This closed group was created to help Messiah University students connect with each other for carpooling to and from campus, both regularly and during holiday/break times.
Messiah University offers free shuttle rides to/from the Grantham campus and Harrisburg International Airport (MDT), Harrisburg Amtrak and Greyhound terminals, and the Megabus stop during the Fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas (Winter), J-Term, Spring, and Easter breaks. Reservations are on a first-come basis. Click here to reserve your spot and for more information about the service. If you have any questions or concerns about this holiday shuttle service, please contact the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership Programs at 717-796-5240.
***IMPORTANT NOTE: The form for reservations will close at midnight the night before the shuttle starts. For example, if the shuttle starts on a Tuesday, it will close Monday night at midnight. This will allow us to best manage the schedule for the shuttle drivers. And, most importantly, it ensures that no one gets left behind due to last minute changes. Thank you.

AFTER the holiday break the shuttles will start pickups from the Amtrak/Greyhound stations then travel to the airport beginning at the following times: 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m., 3:15 p.m., 5:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 9:15 p.m., 11:30 p.m.

The database lists many churches in the Greater Harrisburg area as well as those that provide transportation for Messiah University students. This list is not exhaustive.
