The track is just about completed - just a few minor finishing touches to be done yet. The lines have been painted.
August 20, 2010
The wearing course is being completed now. The painting and job completion is scheduled for the week of August 23rd.
July 21, 2010
Kinsley (the contractor for this project) has installed the new base coat and top course of blacktop for the track. The track manufacturer is scheduled to install the track material the week of July 26th.
June 2010 -
The contractor is currently doing drain work construction and installing concrete curbing.
May 2010 -
This project started May 17, 2010. The contractor removed the old track running surface and has installed new drainage system in front of the bleachers. On May 27, 2010, the contractor will be milling down the top course of the subsurface and will be preparing for new black top.
April 2010 -
The outdoor track at Shoemaker Field will be replaced during summer 2010. This will include a new cushion surface and drainage modifications. This area will be inaccessible for summer.
