Dietetic Internship FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics / dietetic internship (MS/DI)

Students will learn and serve at locations throughout Central Pennsylvania including WellSpan Health System, local public schools and community agencies serving food insecure population.

Current tuition and costs associated with the dietetic internship can be found on the tuition and fees page. Costs for the MS/DI will be set in spring of 2023.

There are two types of applications for the dietetic internship. Students in their senior year of the Messiah University Didactic Program in Dietetics may preselect the internship in their senior year or non-Messiah University DPD graduates can apply through the national match program. Students attend classes weekly at Messiah University's main campus and the Winding Hill location (401 East Winding Hill Road, Mechanicsburg). Additional coursework is completed through an online learning management system and practical experience hours with partnering organizations.
