Human Performance Lab

The Department of Health, Nutrition and Exercise Science at Messiah University has a well-equipped Human Performance Lab located in the Jordan/Kline Science Center.  The laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility that houses the laboratory sessions for Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology and Research Methods.  In addition, the lab serves as a focal point for the Messiah University Undergraduate Research initiative and is used by several groups of students to conduct original research that is presented/published on a regional, national, or international level.  Students learn to calibrate, use, and modify the equipment for their specific needs through various classes or research projects.

Athletic Training Facility/Clinic

Messiah’s Athletic Trainers and Athletic Training Students provide athletic training care and services to Falcon athletes in the athletic training facility/clinic.

Falcon Fitness Center

The Falcon Fitness Center is home to all your fitness needs. The fitness center is an impressive 14,374 square feet and is filled with state of the art cardiovascular, strength, and group exercise equipment. The Falcon Fitness Center’s mission is to make fitness opportunities accessible to all individuals on campus, regardless of one’s fitness level and background.

Nutrition and Dietetics Labs

One-half of this facility provides lab kitchens featuring a variety of food preparation equipment as well as a cooking demonstration station. The other half provides space for nutrition-related physiology and chemistry labs such as blood glucose and cholesterol measurements, as well as space for students to work research projects and meet with clients for counseling.

Jordan Science Center Exterior

Jordan Science Center

The Jordan Science Center, completed in August 1999, is a 60,000-square-foot facility which houses the University's Department of Natural Sciences. It also houses the Oakes Museum of Natural History, which showcases the University's valuable collections of North American and African large mammals, insects, seashells, bird eggs, plants and minerals.
