Messiah University’s sports ministry program, called AROMA (A Revolution of Missional Athletes), founded in 2011, is distinctive among colleges and universities—inviting students to use their athletic abilities to serve the needs of others—both in their local communities and around the globe.
For example, in the past 7 years, AROMA has facilitated:

2,320 Sawyer clean water filters distributed worldwide
137 Messiah athletes participate in AROMA’s weekly fellowship groups
25 community block parties hosted for the local refugee population in Messiah’s surrounding community
