Advisory Council

The Advisory Council provides input related to current healthcare issues and trends, which inform the Assistant Dean of Nursing, Program Coordinators, and nursing faculty to consider the needs of the program-identified community of interest.

    Debra McClain is the Executive Director of the Beacon Clinic for Health and Hope for the past 5 years. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations, including a formulary medication dispensary. Beacon Clinic serves as a primary care outpatient provider to uninsured, underserved, and underinsured adults in Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry counties.

    Lee is the Nursing Education Professional Development (NEPD) liaison between the Schools of Nursing and PSHMC for Clinical Placement. She also facilitates clinical placements for outside requests and PSHMC staff who are enrolled in nursing programs at all levels. In her previous NEPD role, she was the unit educator for the Operating Room.

Prior to joining PSH she served at the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer for Ellis Medicine in the capital region in NYS. She also worked at Mount Sinai Brooklyn, where she served as Vice President of Patient Care Services.
