Class of 2020 Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony
Saturday, May 8, 2021, 9:30 a.m., Shoemaker Field
Congratulations! Commencement is a special time of celebration for Messiah’s graduating seniors and their families and guests. And this year's Commencement ceremony marks a special milestone in the life of our institution. In addition to welcoming 2020 graduates back to campus for a long-awaited in-person Commencement experience, the Class of 2020 will be the last class to officially graduate from Messiah College!
- Please be sure to read this website carefully. There are several adjustments to Commencement this year due to continuing health and safety protocols for COVID-19, including wearing masks, physically distancing, and requiring tickets for the outdoor Commencement ceremony.
- It will be important to continue to check this website, your Messiah email, and Messiah's emergency blog frequently for any changes or updates. Messiah's Commencement planning is tightly integrated with changing federal and state restrictions related to COVID-19, and aspects of the ceremony are subject to change as the University adjusts its planning in response.
- NOTE: The changes in event/venue capacity announced by the Pennsylvania Office of the Governor in March and April did not increase the number of Baccalaureate/Commencement tickets available to graduates (due to the continuation of the social distance restriction).
- It is important to be aware that only ticketed guests will have entry to the Starry Field complex for the Commencement ceremony.
