Parking

Parking

Baccalaureate parking

When guests arrive on campus for the Baccalaureate service, they will be directed where to park by traffic personnel. Campus traffic is heaviest between 5:30 p.m. through the start of the service at 7 p.m., (the auditorium opens at 6 p.m.) so please plan accordingly to allow time for you and your party to park and walk to Eisenhower Campus Center, the location of the Baccalaureate service.

  • Guest disability parking:

Disability parking is available for the Baccalaureate service and requires either: 1) a official state-issued disability parking hang tag or 2) a special college-issued parking pass, which will need to be picked up by the graduate in advance for his/her guests, beginning May 8, 2017, from the Dispatch Office located in the Eisenhower Campus Center. The college-issued disability parking pass may be used both for the Baccalaureate service and for the Commencement ceremony.

Commencement day parking

On Commencement day, traffic personnel will direct guests to designated parking areas on campus. From there, shuttles will transport guests between their parking area and the athletic complex both before and after the Commencement ceremony. The distance from the shuttle drop-off point to the ceremony site is a quarter-mile walk on a paved surface. Special transportation (golf cart transport) is available on a limited basis for those guests requiring assistance between the shuttle drop point and the ceremony site (no advance arrangements are needed; lines are formed as guests arrive).

Return shuttles

Following the conclusion of the Commencement ceremony (12 noon), shuttles will run until approximately 1:30 p.m. to return guests to their vehicles.

  • Guest disability parking:

Limited disability parking is available at the Commencement ceremony site and requires either: 1) a official state-issued disability parking hang tag or 2) a special college-issued parking pass, which can be obtained by graduates in the following ways:

    • Graduating seniors: May pick up a guest disability parking pass in person for his/her guests, beginning May 8, 2017, from the Dispatch Office located in the Eisenhower Campus Center.

    • The college-issued disability parking passes may be used both for Friday evening's Baccalaureate service and for Saturday's Commencement ceremony.

  • Undergraduate commuter student parking:

Graduating seniors who are commuter students participating in the Commencement ceremony may pick up a parking pass at the Dispatch Office located in Eisenhower Campus Center beginning May 8, 2017. Commuters must have a pass in order to park near Eisenhower Campus Center on Commencement day, and should arrive on campus no later than 8:00 a.m. to avoid delays in getting to the ceremony.
