Resident Assistant (RA) Selection

Instructions

If you're interested in applying to be an RA, please complete the steps below:

  1. Attend an RA Informational Night on Wednesday, November 1 at 9:30 p.m., Thursday, November 30 at 4:30 p.m., or Tuesday, January 16 at 4:30 p.m  in Boyer 131 (optional)
  2. Submit RA application and references by Sunday, January 21 at 11:59 p.m. .
    • It is important that you email the link to your references as soon as possible so that they may complete the reference form by the due date.  You will receive an automated email when you submit the application.  The email will have the link to the reference form.
  3. Three references are due by Sunday, January 21 at 11:59 p.m.
    • Your current RA (or an RA that you know well)
    • A Messiah faculty member or employee
    • A coach, supervisor or mentor (cannot be a current RD)
  4. Respond to the interview sign-up email solidifying your in-person interview time, if selected to move forward in the process.
  5. Attend your in-person interview at the location specified in your email.
  6. See email on Wednesday, February 14 confirming your Carousel Night date and additional helpful information.  *Carousel Night is a group interview for all first time RA candidates.  
    Attend Carousel Night on Wednesday, February 27 or Thursday, February 28 in TBD, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. (Bring a device)

If you have a conflict with attending the Carousel Night evening you are assigned, please email Lyndsay Grimm by noon on February 21.
