Messiah University Faculty has developed, implemented and completed numerous, innovative research projects, publications, and reports.
Professor George also presents nationally on a regular basis and has engaged in research in several different areas of study including the following: Math Anxiety, Collaborative Teaching, Spirituality and Pedagogy, Field Instruction and Supervision, and Clinical disorders and Social Work.
In 2014, Professor George engaged in research with four students on faith integration and ethical practice and presented their findings at the NACSW national conference and the NASW-PA annual conference.
Professor George also engaged in research regarding millennial students in social work education. Their findings were presented at the NASW-PA Conference in State College, Pennsylvania and at the Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors National Conference in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Lane has presented nationally and internationally on gerontological issues delving into issues surrounding the physical and mental health needs of older adults who are imprisoned in 4 central Pennsylvania prisons without the chance of parole (lifers).
Dr. Lane published an article on Aging in Place in Prison, based on conducted research in 2018. She is also a contributing member of PACRI Pennsylvania Center for Refugees & Immigrants.
