Payments

There are many ways students and families can choose to pay tuition. Here at SFS, our counselors can help you navigate and choose which payment options and methods are best for you.

Students can choose whether they would like to make payments towards their student account balances by the semester due date or set up a Monthly Payment Plan:

• Semester payments of the entire balance are due for the fall semester by mid-August, for the spring semester by the beginning of January, and for the summer semester by the course start date.
• Monthly payment plan options for undergraduate students can be selected through Transact. Students will need to give access to parents or authorized users who will be accessing Transact.

  • There is a one-time $35 setup fee for each payment plan you enroll into. Please note: new incoming students who have paid their deposit will be able to access Transact and payment plans starting June 6.

• Electronic Check (ACH) – Payment is made online inside of  Transact portal. Payer will select New Bank Account when checking out, and enter bank account and routing numbers.

• Credit Card- American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. Please note that there is a  processor fee added of 2.85% for domestic credit card payments and 4.25% for international . Credit card payments must be done through the Transact eBill site.

• Mail in –Please write student’s name and ID number in the memo line of paper check made payable to Messiah University and mail to:

• Flywire has now been conveniently integrated with Transact. You can pay internationally by using a third-party source that partners with Messiah University called Flywire. Check out our International Payment page for more information. 

• 529 Savings Plan- Many 529 plans can now be used to make payments online through Transact, but not all 529 vendors and/or plans are currently supported. Your 529 vendor may also assess a service fee.
