Why I Love Messiah: When I was a student, my intellect and spirit came alive in a way like never before. Studying at Messiah is like an intellectual adventure! Learning about the world critically, but also from a Christian perspective, shaped my worldview so beautifully. Messiah also gave me the experiences, connections, and guidance to become the Christian professional I am today.
My friends would describe me as: Authentic, thoughtful, approachable, joyful, and a good listener. I’m also quite silly at times.
Favorite spot on Messiah’s campus: The walking trails around Messiah are enchanting, especially in the fall. I loved going for walks to be alone and think.
Favorite meal served at Lottie Nelson Dining: Power Salad with Steak and Chimichurri Sauce. I also love the hand-dipped ice cream (coffee flavored, please).
Best place to visit around Messiah: Lower Allen Community Park is one of my favorite off-campus spots. It’s one of the bigger parks around and is great for hiking, camping, picnicking, and even has a dog park. I also have to give downtown Carlisle a shout-out: it’s full of unique shops and restaurants.
Greetings! If you’re reading this, it probably means you’ve embarked on your college search and Messiah is on your radar! I know this is an exciting time—and a stressful time, too. I’ve been on that same journey and I’m here to tell you that it will all work out in the end. Trust the process, take a deep breath, and take the next step.
