Located on a hill above green Umbrian countryside, Orvieto contains remnants of Etruscan, Roman, Medieval and Renaissance cultures where students live in an artist community while taking classes in art and design, creative writing, history, and literature. Organized field trips provide students with the opportunity to experience Rome, Florence, Assisi, and other historical centers of Italian culture.
Italian language course, studio art courses, Renaissance cultural history course are available.
Walk the streets of Rome for a semester, amid historic architecture and famous sites dating from classical civilization! The program, run by Temple University, offers courses taught by Temple professors and program includes valuable excursions and activities that help students experience Italian culture and explore Rome’s rich heritage. Past field trips include Florence, Milan, Pompeii, and Brussels.
Courses are available in “History of Art in Rome,” Galleries and Studios of Rome,” Sculpture,” “Painting,” Photography,” Printmaking,” and “Digital Imaging.”
Taste a slice of British life and experience the unique Oxford educational system by participating in the Scholars’ Semester in Oxford. Academically strong students participate in one-on-one tutorials with Oxford professors, as well as take part in a variety of field trips.
Students take two one-on-one tutorials with Oxford professors, including art history courses such as “Egyptian Art and Architecture,” “Greek Sculpture, c.600-300 BC,” and “Nature and Art in the Renaissance.
